From Driverseat Athens to Classic City Transportation
As our franchise agreement came to an end, we had an important decision to make: renew the franchise or become an independent, locally owned transportation company.
We chose independence because we believed it would allow us to better serve the people and communities we call home.
Today, as Classic City Transportation, every decision we make is focused on the needs of our customers and our community—not on meeting the priorities of a national brand. Being locally owned gives us the flexibility to provide more personalized service, support local organizations and businesses, and continue building relationships throughout Athens and Northeast Georgia.
While our name has changed, the values that earned our customers’ trust have not. We remain committed to providing safe, dependable, comfortable transportation with the friendly, personal service that only a local, family-owned business can offer.

Classic City Transportation is proudly owned and operated by Troy and Christina Cushman, who bring more than 25 years of experience in transportation and logistics from both Northern California’s wine country and Northeast Georgia.
Their vision has always been simple: provide safe, dependable, and professional private transportation while treating every customer with the same care and respect they would expect for their own family.
When their franchise agreement ended, Troy and Christina chose to build an independent, community-focused transportation company rather than continue operating under a national brand. That decision gave them the freedom to focus on what matters most—serving the people, businesses, and communities of Athens and Northeast Georgia with personalized service and genuine local care.
Today, they continue to be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of Classic City Transportation. From answering customer calls and coordinating reservations to driving many of the trips themselves, Troy and Christina remain committed to providing the dependable, personal service that has earned the trust of their customers.
